Universal Waste

Universal waste training requires employees who handle or have responsibility for managing universal waste to have appropriate training. Training must describe proper handling and emergency procedures appropriate to the types of universal waste handled at the university.

This course will answer the following questions:

  • What is universal waste and how does it apply to my job at UTSA?
  • What are the types, requirements, and spill procedures for universal waste?
  • Where should I go for more information on universal waste?

The duration of this course is 30 minutes. The course contains audio, therefore, it is recommended you use headphones or speakers while completing this course.

Non-Researcher Bloodborne Pathogens

This course is designed to meet the bloodborne pathogens annual training requirements set by State and Federal standards.

You will learn how to identify bloodborne pathogens and protect yourself against exposure while in the workplace.

This course will take approximately one-hour to complete. In addition, please ensure that you complete the twenty-question QUIZ at the end in order to receive credit for this course.

SA0505 Defensive Driving Awareness (For UTSA operated vehicles only) 2024-2025

Defensive Driving Awareness (For UTSA operated vehicles only) 2024-2025

The Defensive Driving Awareness course is a section of the UT System Driver Training Program and is designated to any UTSA employee driving an official UTSA vehicle. You are required to take this training as a refresher every three (3) years from your last date of completion while still operating a UTSA vehicle. This IS NOT a Texas state approved course for discounts on auto insurance or deferred adjudication for traffic violations.
